When the James Beard Foundation announced its semi-finalists for their 2013 Restaurant and Chef Awards, we were stoked to see L.A. chefs and restaurants so well represented. And sure, it’d be great for them to move on to the finals, and monumental to have them win, but the coolest would be to actually see it in person at the ceremony, no?
Acqua Panna—sponsors of the Outstanding Restaurant award, for which Patina and Mélisse are nominated—is hosting a contest to send two people to New York to attend the James Beard awards gala. For a chance to win, you must “like” the Acqua Panna Facebook page and follow the instructions from there.
While it’s no secret that I’m not a fan of the bottled water industry (for a number of reasons covered quite well in this informative video), if you see an update on my Facebook profile showing that I “like” Acqua Panna, now you’ll know why. No, my password hasn’t been compromised; I just want a chance to be there to watch Suzanne Goin or Nancy Silverton potentially accept the Outstanding Chef award.
